During its activity Merks has built more than 90 buildings and engineering structures.

 

The quality of designing and construction works, as well as the quality of architectonic solutions offered by the company have been appreciated by 58 contractors of civil engineering and industrial buildings, as well as more than 840 residents of apartments and  private houses; the utilities built by Merks improve the quality of living for many residents of Latvia towns and villages - the residents of Jurmala, Carnikava, Valmiera and Salacgriva use clean water and go by the new asphalted streets.

In the year 2006 Arena Riga, built by Merks, had won the prize “The Golden Crutch” for being the most humane place within the competition, organized by the association, called “Apeirons”, of disabled persons and their friends (Arena Riga won the prize of the commercial projects in the nomination “The Culture, Education and Sports projects”). Thereby Merks had proved itself as being able to implement the project that is professionally highly evaluated as well as appropriated for the handicapped persons.

In the year 2008 the “Hotel Elephant”, Street Kalnciema 90, Riga, built by Merks, had won the prize “The Golden Crutch” for being the most humane place within the competition, organized by the association, called “Apeirons”, of disabled persons and their friends.

 

During the surveying the newly constructed buildings the experts evaluated the principle of humanism and the fact that the solutions of acceptable environment had been taken into consideration.
