According to the operating results about turnover of the construction companies summarized by the newspaper “Dienas bizness”, Merks had taken the third place in the year 2009.

 

According to the evaluation made by the experts Merks takes the 76th place of the 150 companies of Latvia in the Annual Reputation Top of the Companies prepared by “Diena” and “Nords Potel Novelli”, considerably overtaking the other construction companies of Latvia.

 

500 financial imortant Latvian companies, whose level of resposibility materially impacts social and economical conditions in Latvia, were invited to participate in evaluation of  companies by Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia and Employers’ Confederation of Latvia. In 2010 companies were awarded for the first time. Merks – Bronze Company of Sustainability Index 2010 !

 

The prizes and awards that had been won in the competition “The Building of the Year”, organized by Latvian Builder’s association:

 

The new office building of DnB NORD Banka situated on Skanstes street 12, Riga, was awarded the 2nd prize in the nomination „New Construction” in the show „The best Building of the Year 12010 in Latvia„;

 

In 2007 in the nomination “The Building of the Year 2007” Merks got the second place for the project “Residential buildings “Jaunbiķeri” as well as won the consolation prize for the project “The office building “Duntes biroji”, Street Duntes 6, Riga;

 

In 2006 in the category of this competition “Newly Erected Building” Merks project “Residental buildings “Viesturdārza mājas” was considered as a winner. The second place got the multi-functional arena “Arena Riga”;

 

In 2005 in the nomination “Newly Erected Building” the first place got the project “Mitsubishi & Hyundai Auto Salon” in Street Lielirbes, Riga;

 

The best newly erected building of the year 2004 was considered the first high-rise building of renewed Latvia, designed and built by Merks - Swedbank head office building, also called “The Sun Stone”. In addition, developing this building in Riga Merks had renewed the traditions of high-rise buildings’ construction after more than 20 years.

 

The Latvia Association of Architects had highly evaluated the work of Merks, awarding the project “Hypermarket “RIMI Valdemārs” in Street K. Valdemāra. The project was awarded Latvian Architect Prize of the Year 2003 as the best Reconstructed Public New Building.
