The internal system of work environment supervision is organized and planned in order to ensure the work environment that is safe and harmless to health. When starting to fulfil his/her work duties, an employee is acquainted with regulations regarding working procedures, instructions for fire safety and labour protection, taking into consideration the specifics of the relevant workplace and the duties of an employee.

 

The Enterprise management system is certified in compliance with the international standards regarding quality, occupational health, work safety and environment, in accordance with requirements of ISO 9001:2000 Quality management systems, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental management systems and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational health and safety management systems standards.

One of our most important priorities is the supervision of certain work environment risks that may adversely affect health and life of both the employees and all those participating in the construction process (including sub-contractors and service providers). An equally important prerequisite is striving to avoid pollution of the environment and properties of land.



The employees of Merks have a duty of looking after their health – mandatory health checks represent one of the most important factors in order to safeguard employee safety and determine whether the health condition of an employee permits working at a workplace with specific work risk factors and to help avoid contracting occupational disease.
