| Sponsorship of Auto Racer Haralds Šlēgelmilhs |

During the season of 2007 and 2008, Merks has sponsored the perspective Latvian auto racer Haralds Šlēgelmilhs. He has set an aim of joining the F1 racing team and becoming a participant in F1 racing. In 2008, Haralds gained the 4th place in the Formula Masters International overall tally and the 17th place in the Asian GP2.
Even though this auto racing league comes several steps behind the F1, no other auto racer from Latvia has ever made it this far.
My target is to reach the top in auto racing - F1 !
This target is extremely high, but reachable.
As long as I won't reach it, i'll not give up !
