“Merks” is going to work on expansion of the “Alfa” Shopping Mall
Company “Merks” is going to commence expansion and improvement of the “Alfa” Shopping Mall in September. Thanks to these works, visitors in 2019 will have access to 20 000 m2 of new shopping and entertainment areas, along with an active recreation area and a playground for children. The landscaped area of the shopping mall will be expanded; capacity of the existing parking lot will be increased, and a new underground parking is going to be build for the drivers’ convenience.
As stated by Oskars Ozoliņš, “Merks” Chairman of Board, “We are really glad for the opportunity to work in this project – to make “Alfa” more convenient for its visitors and to help the enterprise achieve its business objectives. Our long-term experience, which also includes construction of shopping malls, gives confidence that everyone is going to benefit from the project – both the commissioners of the project and the customers of the shopping mall, as well as local inhabitants, who are going enjoy an even more well-arranged and pleasant environment.”
The commissioner, “Delta Property” LLC, intends to invest 34 million Euros (ex VAT) into the expansion of the shopping mall, and eventually to develop a total of 54 000 m2 of new areas. “Merks” is going to start implementing changes for the better in September, and the completion of works is currently scheduled for summer 2019.
