Merks Cup Latvian-Estonian tennis competition

“Merks Cup” tennis tournament was held at the end of July. The leading tennis players of Latvia and Estonia participated in this tournament, 4 of whom are the world’s top 100 players. The competition was held in Tondi Tennis Centre in Tallin, where spectators had the opportunity to watch the best tennis players of both countries in person

Aļona Ostapenko (WTA 41), Anastasija Sevastova (WTA 43), Ernests Gulbis (ATP 162) and Kārlis Ozoliņš (ATP 1133) from Latvia and Anett Kontaveit (WTA 22), Kaia Kanepi (WTA 99), Jürgen Zopp (ATP 552) un Vladimir Ivanov (ATP 738) from Estonia played in the 11 games of the tournament.

Thanks to a victory in the last game of mixed doubles, the tournament ended with Estonia winning 6:5.
