Sergejs Periņecs gets the Grand Prix of the construction industry

Sergejs Periņecs, Project Manager of the “Merks” construction company, has been awarded the Project Manager of the Year title at the “Grand Prix in Construction Industry” ceremony. Apart from that, Sergejs also merited special awards for professional cooperation from “Bauroc” LLC, “Knauf” LLC and “Doka Latvija” LLC.

With his expertise and experience, Sergejs managed to achieve what could otherwise be deemed almost impossible – the building of Exupery International School was erected within just 11 months. The project, amounting to over 13 million Euros, has been implemented in observance of top quality standards.

Sergejs has been working for “Merks” since 2005, having managed the construction of numerous complicated objects. As of today, he is charged with overseeing construction works on the multi-functional shopping centre “Akropole”.

The “Grand Prix in Construction Industry” is awarded by the Latvian Association of Civil Engineers in cooperation with other public organisations of the construction industry and the “Būvinženieris” magazine. Employees of the “Merks” construction company have already won this prestigious award several times before. Ivo Brālēns won the title of the Engineer of the Year in 2013 and 2015; Valdis Silnieks was declared the Young Engineer of the Year in 2014. Special awards were also granted to Roberts Rēboks, Maksims Momots and Ivo Boruks.
